About me
Hey, I’m Jane Platts, welcome to my blog ‘Hooked Yarn’ a place were basically I muse on ideas, and show what I’m working on. I have crafted and created since I was old enough to hold a needle. From making needlecases and Blue Peter inspired room sets for my Sindy, through to my first forays into jewellery making, and a constant love of recycling old and found things, I eventually took this through to a degree in Embroidery at Manchester Metropolitan University.
I enjoy the process of working by hand, the immediacy and the tactile nature of crocheting, and I love all things handmade, especially the individual, well thought out pieces.
